This is an introduction to the Japanese language and culture for students with no prior experience.

In this introductory level, students will be introduced to basic sentence structure and vocabulary to be able to engage in simple conversation involving greetings and basic background information. Basic vocabulary, elementary conversation, and simple sentence structure is taught in Romaji (Japanese written phonetically in the Roman alphabet) while Hiragana (a Japanese syllabary) is introduced.

If you need assistance to determine if this class is right for you, we would be happy to help.
